Texting rejection decoder

When a texting registration is rejected, HighLevel shows an error code and a short reason. Pick the code below to see what it means in plain English, the likely cause, the fix, and a message you can send the account owner.

50 rejection reasonsChecked against HighLevel's help centre, Oct 2026

Where to find the code: Trust Center → Brands & Campaigns → Campaigns → "View required fixes". HighLevel doesn't charge another vetting fee to resubmit a rejected campaign. The plain-English wording and the owner messages are ours; the codes and fixes follow HighLevel's published guidance.

How registration works

Four steps, in this order

Two things have to be right: details that match official records, and an opt-in a reviewer can see for themselves. Registration starts in Settings → Phone System → Trust Center.

01

Business details

Legal name, tax ID, address and an authorised contact. The name and EIN must match the IRS letter exactly. A PO box is not accepted.

02

Brand approval

The business is verified first. Brand approval on its own does not allow texting.

03

Campaign

The use case, sample messages, how people opt in, and public links to the privacy policy and terms.

04

Link the numbers

Each number that sends texts must be linked to the approved campaign and show the "A2P Verified" label.

Toll-free numbers are different. They don't use A2P registration. They go through Toll-Free Verification, and texting from them stays blocked until the status shows Verified.
What we do with a rejection

Read it properly, fix the cause, resubmit once

  • Read the real reason. The code points to one specific problem. We fix that, not everything at once.
  • Check the public pages. The website, the form, the privacy policy and the terms are what a reviewer actually looks at.
  • Tell the owner in plain words what was wrong and the one thing we need from them.
  • Resubmit, then link and test each number once it's approved.
